Hiroshima and Nagasaki


Hiroshima and Nagasaki were two atomic bomb attacks on the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan, the first on August 6, 1945, and the second on August 9, 1945. These two events are the only use of nuclear weapons in war to date, ever. The bomb dropped on Hiroshima was nicknamed 'Little Boy' and was dropped first executive order of President Harry S. Truman. The bomb dropped on Nagasaki was nicknamed 'Fat Man'.
